Autoseum is rolling for the future.

To end up a circle can be difficult.
To end up a rotating circle can be more difficult.
Autoseum is a unique example for a closed circle, rolling into the future.
-- Maybe there is a drip of petrol in the blood making the way...

My facination in engines in general, and specially for cars and motorcycles, has given us an oriental trio the sort of  creativty and adventourous madness which is needed  to run and develope the unique Automuseum.

1963 Rutger von Essen created Skoklosters museum outside Sigtuna. 1977 Gunnar Wretner bought the museum, which later was taken over by his son Thomas.

2007 Uno Levinsson, Torbjörn Wistrand and Håkan Mårtensson got the oppotunity to purchare all expensive objects and for sure there were their collective car madness, the drip of petrol in their blood, which became their descision. This trio became suddenly owner of a museum and all were moved southwords to Simrishamn.

After an intesive work Automuseum could be opened 2008 and expect all vehicles from Skokloster about 15 vehicles came from Technical museum in Stockholm and there are also some other objects. They became a motortechnical collection proudly presented.

Since this time the collection constantly has been developed and improved. Also a support society the friends of Autoseum is created.

People with the same interests always come together and it was forecasted that car lover couple Erna and Nisse Nilsson, with their own impressive collection of vehicles. They would of course one day arrive to Simrishams and Autoseum.

Erna's connection to Simrishamn and East side of Skåne were already connected. Her father, Oscar Nordström, born 1906 at Brantevik. He worked as a carpenter. for him and most others there were hard times during 1920 and 1930th.
He married Helga and they lived at Yngve Österberg way in Simrishamn before they moved westwards to Malmö. Together they built a house which was sold to get start money for working with buildings. In this way they earned enought with money. Their family increased with two daughters Margit and Erna.

As time went on the sales manager at Philpsson's cars, Nisse Nilsson, was involved in Nordström family. ( For sure with a car). He got in love with Erna and married into the successfull building company, which when in peak time had 140 employers. Oscar Nordström build many properties for among others MKB and HSB up to his retire, beginning of 1970th. 1991 Oscar Nordstrom builders Co was established and still today 2015 this company is active and works as estate manager.

Nisse the sun in law had for several years the agency for Porsche and sold many sport, luxury and race cars in addition to other cars. He became entusiastic supported by his wife Erna, who was a legendary car collector world wide known. This she improve the family further more at Autoseum in Simrishamn.

We are very glad over that the three motorenthusiasts put thir money in this pearl. We are happy because of their fantasy, quality feeling and the unprecendented engagement which goes through their work. There is with a great joy we have moved the Nisse Nilsson Collection to this exposing place. Here where the smell of petrol and leather mixing with the wind of speed.

-We are proud to honour the memory of father and son in law by securing the continous living and development of Autoseum throught our Estate compny Oscar Nordström AB, Erna and Nisse Nilsson say.

The journey of Oscar and Helga over the world have ended. Thanks to their industrious efforts. The company has got economical possibility to buy the exhibition locals so Autoseum will live and develope. One foundation has established which will guarantee the Autoseum continoues life. We feel that this is real good , Erna and Nisse say.

Many thanks!

Dear visitors, very welcome to our motorparadise.
